Demonstration of innovations in practical use

Website Living Lab

On the Living Lab Demo Day, various innovative systems, technologies and products of the railway system will be demonstrated on the laboratory track and in the laboratory vehicles in practical use. The demonstrators range from concepts and feasibility studies to functional prototypes.

The Living Lab Demo Day is integrated into the Digital Rail Conference of the SRCC Research Campus for Innovative Rail Technologies.

On the demonstration day, a special train of the SRCC research campus commutes between the different operating sites where the demonstrators are installed, thus offering the participants the opportunity to get to the different demonstrators. (Note: No parking spaces will be available for the conference topics at the stations on the demo day! Please use the special train.)

Innovations in control and safety technology

  • EULYNX: The EULYNX Standard and the Reference Architectures RCA and OCORA
  • Karlsruhe Institute of Technology: Vehicle-side positioning using DIS
  • Technische Universität Darmstadt: Vehicle-side location using GNSS
  • Frauscher Sensortechnik: Track-side location by means of FOS
